Jake Tyler Duffield, a 28-year-old from Norfolk, has died while on holiday in Ibiza with friends. The circumstances surrounding his death remain unclear, but the tragedy has left his loved ones "completely devastated," according to a fundraiser set up to bring his body home.
Family's Heartbreaking Tribute
Jake's stepmother, Nicki Duffield, paid an emotional tribute: "Please help if you can, this lad was my step son, a kind caring lad who loved the party vibes. Jake had been part of my life since 2010, and I watched him become the lovely man that he was."
Fundraising Effort
Pub landlord Paul Sandford, from Dereham, launched a GoFundMe campaign to cover the costs of repatriation. He said: "The news has left everyone who knew and loved him completely devastated. Our immediate priority is to bring Jake home to the UK, where his family can finally have him close and give him the farewell he truly deserves. Unfortunately, the costs involved in repatriating someone from overseas are significant, and we are reaching out to our community for help during this incredibly difficult time."
Jake died last Friday, and the fundraiser has already raised more than £23,000. Paul added: "Every donation, no matter how big or small, will go towards the costs of bringing Jake home and easing some of the financial burden on his heartbroken family. Your support, kindness, and generosity will mean more than words can express. On behalf of Jake's family and friends, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your compassion and support. Let's bring Jake home."
