Victims and bail conditions

The court heard that the eight alleged victims were aged between 10 and 15 at the time of the offences. District Judge Amar Mehta told the boy: "Your case is too serious to be tried in this court. Therefore it’s going to be tried at the crown court at Northampton. I’m going to send your case to Northampton Crown Court for another hearing similar to this one."

The judge granted the teenager conditional bail, with conditions including no contact with the alleged victims, no unsupervised contact with females under 16, and engagement with the Northamptonshire Youth Justice Service. He is set to appear at Northampton Crown Court on August 18.
