Two women who died in a car crash on the Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire border have been named by police. The collision occurred on Common Lane in Pleasley, near Mansfield, at around 6.20am on Thursday, November 27.
Amie Pearson, 26, was driving a Suzuki Alto when it was involved in a crash with a Vauxhall Meriva. She and her passenger, Chelsea Carlisle, 29, were pronounced dead at the scene. A nine-year-old boy also in the Suzuki suffered serious, life-changing injuries and remains in hospital.
Three men in the Vauxhall were injured, two seriously. An 18-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. He was taken to hospital due to his injuries and remains there.
