Two teenagers have died after the car they were travelling in veered off a road bridge and crashed onto the M1 motorway in Leicestershire. The incident occurred at approximately 1.33pm on Friday, when a blue car travelling on Gilmorton Lane towards Lutterworth left the bridge and fell onto the southbound carriageway, colliding with a white Fiat Ducato minibus.
Leicestershire Police confirmed that both occupants of the blue car, who were teenagers, were pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the minibus and three women passengers were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver has since been discharged, while the three women remain in hospital.

Police are appealing for witnesses, particularly anyone who was driving on Gilmorton Lane or the M1 near junction 20 at around 1.30pm on Friday. Officers are also seeking dashcam footage or sightings of either vehicle before the collision.
