Kianna Underwood, a former child actor who appeared on Nickelodeon shows including All That and Little Bill, died in a hit-and-run in Brooklyn, New York, on Friday morning. She was 33.
According to the New York Police Department, Underwood was struck by a black Ford Explorer SUV as she attempted to cross the street in a marked crosswalk at Pitkin Avenue and Mother Gaston Boulevard in the Brownsville neighbourhood at around 6:45 am. She was then hit by a black and grey sedan, became lodged under the vehicle, and was dragged for two blocks. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Both drivers fled the scene. The NYPD confirmed that no arrests have been made and that the investigation is ongoing, led by the Highway District’s Collision Investigation Squad.
Underwood was a regular performer on Nickelodeon’s All That, a live-action sketch comedy show, appearing in seven episodes during 2004-05. She also voiced Fuchsia Glover in the animated series Little Bill and appeared in the comedy film The 24 Hour Woman (1999) and the holiday special Santa, Baby! (2001).
