Masked Men Rob Lloyds Bank in Warrington, Flee on Bike

Two masked men broke into a Lloyds bank in Warrington early Monday morning, stealing approximately £500 in cash before escaping on a red motorbike, according to Cheshire Police.

Details of the Incident

The burglary occurred at the Lloyds branch on Horsemarket Street in the town centre at around 3:25 a.m. on July 6, 2026. Police reported that two unknown men, both wearing balaclavas, forced their way into the bank and took the cash. They then fled the scene on a red motorcycle, heading towards Winwick Street in the direction of the Halliwell Jones Stadium.

Police Investigation and Appeal

Detectives from Warrington Proactive CID have launched an investigation and are appealing for witnesses or anyone with footage of the incident. Detective Constable Vicky Hancox stated: "Enquiries in relation to this incident are ongoing and we’re committed to doing all we can to trace the people responsible. As part of our investigation, we’re keen to hear from anyone who was in the area and believes they may have witnessed the incident. The same goes for anyone with any video footage of suspects arriving at or fleeing the scene on the red motorcycle."
