A Russian missile strike on the village of Radushne in Ukraine's Kryvyi Rih district is believed to have killed ten members of the same family, including seven children and an 18-month-old grandson. The victims are thought to be parents Artem Voronov, 47, and Olena, 41, along with their children Mark, 17; Dominika, 16; Viorika, 14; Zakharii, 13; Azarii Ilai, 11; Federika, 9; Emilia, 7; and their grandson Artem, 18 months.
Attack Details and Response
The attack occurred as Russian forces launched a large-scale strike across Ukraine, involving 70 missiles and over 280 drones. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reported that dozens of "ordinary homes, civilian businesses and infrastructure facilities" were destroyed or damaged. The strike completely destroyed two private homes and damaged five others in Radushne. Several fires broke out but were extinguished by emergency crews.
One of the couple's sons, Matvii Voronov, learned of his family's death from a local village online forum, according to Ukrainian media. Neighbors had to inform him that everyone had perished. Some victims will require identification from body fragments due to the severity of the blast.
Family Background
An elderly female relative told a local news outlet that the couple had ten children and three grandchildren. The youngest grandchild, Artem, was visiting when the missile struck. She said: "Dania, the father of little Artem, graduated from the academy, he’s now a captain. He serves in the artillery forces. Aurika is in Germany, Matvii is in Poland. Mark studied very well at the technical college at YuHOK, he was an honor student. The parents invested everything in their children."

Local channel Pershyi Miskyi. Kryvyi Rih wrote: "One missile. One family. One home that became a mass grave for the dearest people. This was not a strike on a military target. This was a cynical strike on a peaceful Ukrainian family. On children who should have lived, dreamed, grown up. On parents who were building their home, raising children, and believed in the future."
The attack reached as far west as Lviv. Polish fighters were scrambled during the assault, and a crater was found in the eastern Lublin Voivodeship following an air raid alert triggered by Russia's mass missile and drone attack.
