Russia’s embassy in the UK has issued a direct threat to use nuclear weapons against Britain, warning that any British or NATO military action on Russian territory would be met with a response involving all means at Russia’s disposal, including nuclear arms.

The statement referenced an article discussing a potential NATO blockade of or action against Kaliningrad, a Russian exclave on the Baltic Sea. It also noted that the “prospect of a hypothetical strike” was explored in the new Sky TV show The Wargame.
“Those advocating plans to blockade or strike Kaliningrad should have no illusions about the consequences,” the statement said. “Any British or NATO military action against Russian territory would be met with a response using all means at Russia’s disposal, including nuclear weapons.”
