Kremlin-aligned television host Vladimir Solovyov has issued a fresh threat to the United Kingdom, declaring that "Britain will be wiped off the face of the Earth" during a broadcast of his show Full Contact. He also described the ongoing conflict as "a holy war" and urged the Russian public to participate in the fight against the West.
Solovyov targets UK Prime Minister
Solovyov specifically criticised British Prime Minister Andy Burnham, stating: "We are opposed, well, by and large, by Satanists, who don't even hide it. I mean referring not just to the West's clique-including the current Prime Minister of Britain, who says he will press on-well, Great Britain will be wiped off the face of the earth by Russia's might."
Russian diplomat Sergey Lavrov also issued a warning, saying: "They refuse to listen or understand. The next thing they hear will be the sound of the wave approaching from a Poseidon explosion."
Context of threats
The menacing remarks follow reports that Ukrainian forces have conducted deep strikes within Russia using British-manufactured drones, hitting industrial and logistical infrastructure. Kyiv has not publicly claimed responsibility for any of the attacks, according to the Express.
On Tuesday, Prime Minister Burnham stated that London will continue "to support Ukraine 100%" after Moscow warned of "consequences" following confirmation that British-made drones were used in recent Ukrainian strikes in Russia. He added: "We are not fair-weather friends, we will be there in Ukraine's hour of need and that won't change."
Broader calls for attacks
Solovyov did not limit his threats to the UK, also calling for attacks on French and German assets. He declared: "French missiles and factories must be destroyed. French legionnaires-meaning not only must they be destroyed on Russian soil, but also their headquarters and deployment sites. British factories must burn; [British] assets must be destroyed. Wherever NATO experts are working on German soil to plan the next operation, they must be destroyed. The satellite constellation-which provides targeting data and subsequent information on strike results-must be destroyed. There is no need to fear anyone. God is with us."
