A Russian state TV host and one of Vladimir Putin's leading propagandists has threatened that the UK will be "wiped off the face of the Earth."
Solovyov's latest rant
Vladimir Solovyov, a Kremlin mouthpiece known for his wild rants, told viewers of his 'Full Contact' show this week: "This is a holy war and we must win."
The comments come after Prime Minister Andy Burnham vowed the UK will continue to support Ukraine "100%". That followed Moscow warning the UK of "consequences" after British-made drones were used in recent Ukrainian strikes in Russia.
Mr Burnham said: "We are not fair-weather friends, we will be there in Ukraine's hour of need and that won't change."
Threats against France and Germany
Solovyov took aim at the PM in his latest deranged rant, saying: "We are opposed by Satanists, who don't even hide it. I mean referring not just to the West's clique - including the current Prime Minister of Britain, who says he will press on - well, Great Britain will be wiped off the face of the earth by Russia's might."
However, Solovyov did not just single out Britain - and soon turned his attention to France and Germany. He said: "French missiles and factories must be destroyed. French legionnaires - meaning not only must they be destroyed on Russian soil, but also their headquarters and deployment sites.
"British factories must burn; [British] assets must be destroyed. Wherever NATO experts are working on German soil to plan the next operation, they must be destroyed.
"The satellite constellation - which provides targeting data and subsequent information on strike results - must be destroyed. There is no need to fear anyone. God is with us."
Context of Ukraine strikes
Ukraine reportedly used drones made by two UK companies as part of a so-called deep strike campaign in Russia. Kyiv has stepped up its attacks on Russia this year, with long-range missiles and swarms of drones increasingly targeting military industries and energy facilities.
It has also targeted giant depots for Wildberries – Russia's largest online retailer – burning billions of pounds of merchandise and bringing the war home to the Russian public more than four years into Moscow's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
