GB News suspended its regular programming as presenters Ellie Costello and Mark White disclosed that Donald Trump had evaded an "Iranian threat." They were accompanied by fellow broadcaster Ben Leo, who joined via video link from the US, offering further particulars about the assassination attempt on the US President.
Details of the Plot Revealed
Discussing the explosive revelations, Ben revealed: "Last month, President Trump travelled on Air Force One, he was coming back from the NATO summit and stopped off in Turkey, mysteriously, before heading back to Great Britain at RAF Mildenhall in Suffolk."
"However, details have now emerged that in Turkey, when he was on the ground in Ankara, secret service had wind of an Iranian plot to possibly assassinate him."
Smuggled Off Air Force One
After conceding they lacked specifics about how the plot would have unfolded, the US correspondent continued: "President Trump was bizarrely, and it seems appropriately now, smuggled off Air Force One in an airport catering van."
"He was then taken onto a waiting Air Force C32A, which is an American military plane, before flying to the RAF base in Suffolk."
Ben went on: "When pressed on the flight change in Turkey, Trump dodged the question but told reporters last month that he was number one on the list for Iran and said that he just fancied flying on another for old times' sake."
Iranian Threat Background
The details now suggest that the secret service, the intelligence services, thought the threat was so serious that they did a Jose Mourinho-style smuggling out of the plane in a catering van into this other military plane. This all stems from Iran. President Trump, of course, was President at the time when the United States assassinated Qasem Soleimani, the leader of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps, back in 2020.
"In 2023, on the third anniversary of Soleimani's death, they came out the RGC and said that President Trump, along with 90 other Americans, were top of their kill list," said the US-based presenter.
"The President himself, even last month, told reporters at the New York Post that 'I've been on Iran's list for a long time, that's what we're dealing with. The only thing is I've left instructions, if anything happens, they will just literally bomb them at levels they've never seen before.'"
The same week, Israel shared intelligence with the U.S., warning of a new Iranian plot to assassinate Donald Trump. Around the same time, the highly fragile ceasefire between the U.S. and Iran had begun to break down, and both sides launched strikes again.
