A passenger flight travelling from Dubai to Israel has transmitted an emergency code indicating a possible hijacking.
The Boeing 737, operated by FlyDubai as flight FZ1073, issued the code 7500 alert, which is used to signal a potential hijacking situation. Reports indicate that fighter jets were scrambled in response to the alert.
Flight Tracked to Saudi Arabia
According to reports, the aircraft may have now diverted to Saudi Arabia, although it is no longer visible on flight tracking radar.
The flight was en route from Dubai to Israel when the emergency code was transmitted.
