A horrific gang rape in India has left a woman with a piece of wood, a stone, and a live bullet lodged inside her body. Police are still hunting the five men responsible for the attack in the Begusarai district of Bihar state on June 11.
Attack Details
The victim was attacked in her own home after the men locked her husband in the bathroom. She was tied up, gagged, and taken outside, where she was threatened with a knife, beaten, and raped repeatedly before managing to escape.
According to the police report, the woman lost consciousness during the ordeal, and it is believed the objects were inserted while she was unconscious. Two days later, she was taken to hospital for a second time due to persistent pain, where doctors discovered the foreign objects.
Previous Incident
The woman had previously reported an attempted rape at her home, where three men tried to assault her and stole cash and jewelry. No charges have been filed in that case.
Police Response
DSP Anand Kumar Pandey stated: “The accused involved in the incident will be arrested, and a speedy trial will be ensured. If any negligence on the part of the police comes to light, action will be taken against the concerned personnel.”
The husband, who was trapped in the bathroom during the attack, was freed after the victim called her sister-in-law, who alerted the police.
