An urgent manhunt is underway for a wanted sex offender who is believed to have travelled to Scotland. Michal Rygielski is wanted by Cumbria Police after he failed to appear at court and failed to comply with a sex offenders notification order.
Believed to be in Edinburgh or Glasgow
The 38-year-old is believed to be in the Glasgow or Edinburgh areas. Police confirmed that he has links to both cities, as well as to Cumbria and Hampshire in the south of England.
Michal is described as being around 5ft 10ins tall, of medium build with blue eyes and receding hair.
Police appeal for information
A Cumbria Police spokesperson said: "Officers are urging people to look out for a wanted sex offender with links to Cumbria, Hampshire, Edinburgh and Glasgow."
"Michal Rygielski is wanted by Cumbria Police. The 38-year-old is wanted after failing to comply with a sex offenders notification order as well as failing to appear at court."
"Rygielski is around 5ft 10ins tall, of medium build with blue eyes and receding hair. He is believed to be in the Edinburgh or Glasgow areas. Anyone with information on Rygielski’s whereabouts is urged to contact police."
