A serial nightclub predator has been sentenced to prison after repeatedly attempting to grope terrified women in a UK town centre. Raigal Ahmad, 35, approached a 41-year-old woman in a nightclub in July 2024 and began to grope her. In January 2025, he grabbed a 36-year-old woman's bottom in the street. Both incidents took place in Warrington, Cheshire, as Liverpool Crown Court heard.
Ahmad, from Salford, Greater Manchester, initially entered a not guilty plea but later changed his plea to guilty, admitting two counts of sexual assault. He was jailed for 14 months and ordered to sign the sex offenders' register for 10 years. Additionally, he was made subject to a five-year restraining order against both victims.
The first incident occurred on July 19, 2024, when Ahmad approached a 41-year-old woman in a nightclub and touched her inappropriately without her consent. Despite the victim moving his hands away, he continued to touch her.
The second incident took place at a bar on January 26, 2025, where Ahmad was seen lingering outside and making advances toward a group of women. Cheshire Police reported: "Despite being repeatedly told by the group to leave them alone, Ahmad followed them to a nearby takeaway. Whilst inside, he proceeded to touch the bottom of a 36-year-old woman. This quickly developed into a physical altercation, resulting in officers being called to the scene and Ahmad being arrested as he attempted to leave in a taxi."
In custody, Ahmad denied following the group, claiming it was a coincidence that he was at both the bar and the takeaway. He admitted to touching the 36-year-old but claimed they had been joking and that he playfully tapped her thigh. In a separate interview regarding the nightclub incident, Ahmad denied any wrongdoing.
Detective Constable Phillip Jackson of CID Reactive North said: "It is basic human decency that when someone asks to be left alone and does not give you their consent to touch them, you respect their needs. Raigal Ahmad ignored this and repeatedly made unwanted, predatory advances toward two women who were simply wanting to enjoy a night out with friends. We treat all instances of sexual assault with the utmost seriousness, placing the needs and wellbeing of victims at the centre of all investigations. Anyone who comes to us with concerns as serious as those exhibited above will be listened to and treated with respect. No matter how small the claim may seem, we will do all we can to get you the justice you deserve."
