Police have launched an appeal following an alleged sexual assault in Newport city centre over the weekend. Gwent Police are looking for three men they believe were in the area at the time. The men have not been linked to the assault in any other way.

Incident Details

Officers received a report of a sexual assault outside the Travelodge in Newport in the early hours of Sunday, June 7. The alleged incident occurred around 3:30 AM. Police believe the three men pictured could assist with their investigation as they were seen in the vicinity at the same time.

Victim Support and Investigation

A Gwent Police spokesperson confirmed that the victim is being supported by specially-trained officers. Detailed enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the incident.

Detective Inspector Rhys Potter stated: "Specially-trained officers are currently supporting the victim. We understand that reports of this nature will cause concern for our communities, but officers are carrying out detailed enquiries to establish the circumstances."
