Police are urgently appealing for witnesses and information following a horrific violent robbery in Crawley town centre, during which a man was allegedly raped.

Details of the Attack

The incident occurred in the early hours of 15 October at an address on High Street. According to Sussex Police, a man in his 30s was attacked. The suspect not only subjected the victim to a serious sexual assault but also stole his watch and a quantity of cash before fleeing the scene.

Detective Inspector Becki Buckley is leading the investigation and has confirmed that specially trained officers are supporting the victim as he recovers from the traumatic event.

Police Investigation and Public Appeal

In a significant development to the investigation, detectives have now released CCTV footage of a man they are keen to trace. The individual is wanted for questioning in connection with the reported rape and robbery.

Detective Inspector Buckley stated: "We are continuing to make extensive enquiries in this case and are keen to trace this man. If you know who he is or have any information about him, please contact us."
