Andrew Tate 'filmed sexualised video with a child'

UK prosecutors allege Andrew Tate took part in a sexualised video involving a child, with dozens of images and footage stored on his devices. The influencer is accused of creating or sharing indecent images of a girl who was 17 at the time, including dozens classified as Category A, the most serious level.

Newly filed court documents, submitted as part of the UK's extradition request, allege that police discovered 168 indecent images and videos of the girl on Tate's devices, the Telegraph has reported. The documents claim Tate, who was 28 at the time, was aware she was underage.

Details of the alleged videos

The videos allegedly included 66 Category A and 26 Category B images found on a Samsung mobile and a laptop reportedly seized from Tate's home in Hitchin, Hertfordshire, after his arrest in July 2015 on suspicion of rape and sexual assault. At least one video allegedly showed Tate with the girl in a sexualised context, with prosecutors also accusing him of later sharing footage on WhatsApp.

One Category B video allegedly showed Tate sitting on a bed while the girl, wearing lingerie, was positioned behind him and kissing his neck before a female adult joins and begins kissing the child. The girl had travelled to the UK in 2014 and began working for Tate's webcam business soon afterwards, according to the documents. Her passport, found in Tate's home, confirmed she was 17 at the time of his arrest.

Alleged WhatsApp sharing and later career

Tate is accused of sharing videos of the girl with three other people in a WhatsApp group in June 2015, where he allegedly boasted that she worked for his webcam business and one man had offered to pay $1,000 (£750) every day if she performed a specific sexual act on camera. Tate went on to appear on Big Brother in 2016 but was removed after six episodes when producers were made aware of a video showing him hitting a woman with a belt.

The full case against Tate includes allegations of rape, assault, human trafficking, controlling prostitution for gain, and possession of extreme pornography. The UK formally asked the U.S. to extradite him in September.

Extradition request and legal proceedings

Both Tate and his brother, Tristan, later moved their webcam business to Romania and were arrested there in 2022 as part of a human-trafficking investigation. Romanian authorities indicted the pair, but they were released on house arrest. After British authorities applied for further warrants in 2024, the two were arrested in Miami in July 2026.

UK authorities have now filed a formal request to extradite the brothers from the US to face a total of 59 charges, including rape and sex trafficking. The brothers have denied the accusations and said their interactions with women had always been consensual.
