The woman charged with the brutal murder of 12-year-old Lola Daviet in Paris has a history of violent behaviour, including assaulting medical staff three years ago. Dahbia B, a 24-year-old Algerian immigrant who was in France illegally, allegedly told medics after the attack: 'I'll be back - you don't know what I'm capable of.'
Dahbia B has been charged with murder, rape, and torture after the body of Lola was found in a suitcase in the foyer of an apartment block in the 19th arrondissement of Paris earlier this month. According to investigators, she admitted to taping the girl's face, causing asphyxiation, and later stabbing the corpse. She also claimed to have drunk some of Lola's blood and stored some in a vial, which has not been recovered.
During police interviews, Dahbia B reportedly showed no remorse, stating she 'wasn't moved one bit' when shown images of the victim. She cited her own traumatic past, saying she was raped and witnessed her parents' death. Despite her violent history, France's Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin confirmed she 'was not known to the police.'
Family and friends described Dahbia B as a devout Christian drawn to evangelism. An ex-boyfriend said she was 'obsessed with church and the cross.' The murder has sparked political debate, with far-right groups criticising immigration policies. Lola's family urged the public not to use their daughter's name for political ends. President Emmanuel Macron described the killing as 'extreme evil.'
