A woman in the US stumbled upon a scene straight out of a horror movie when she entered an abandoned funeral home and discovered 11 decomposing bodies stored in freezers.
The shocking find occurred in Detroit, Michigan, when the woman - whose identity remains undisclosed - decided to explore the deserted building. What she found inside was far more disturbing than she could have imagined.
A Chilling Discovery
Upon entering the former Cantrell Funeral Home, the woman immediately noticed an overpowering stench. Following the smell, she made her way to the basement where she discovered multiple freezers containing human remains in various states of decomposition.
"I couldn't believe what I was seeing," the woman reportedly told authorities. "There were bodies just left there like forgotten groceries."
Police Launch Investigation
Local police were called to the scene and confirmed the presence of 11 bodies. Investigators are now working to identify the remains and determine how long they had been abandoned.
