An 18-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with a sexual offence after a 15-year-old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted in Aberdeen.
The alarm was raised around 1am on Sunday, September 20, when officers were alerted to the alleged attack in the Gardner Road area of the city. Emergency services, including Police Scotland, attended the scene, and the force remained in the area into the afternoon as an investigation got underway.
Police cordon at wooded area
Footage taken at the scene, shared by Fubar News, showed a wooded area taped off by police, with at least one uniformed officer standing guard alongside a cordon erected nearby.
Police Scotland has now confirmed that an 18-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the alleged incident. He is due to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court at a later date.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “An 18-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with a sexual offence following a report received around 1am on Sunday, 20 September 2026, in the Gardner Road area of Aberdeen.
“He is due to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court at a later date.”
