Mark Lord, 63, has been charged with murdering his 94-year-old father, Allan Lord, following an incident in Bolton. He is due to appear at Manchester Magistrates' Court this afternoon (Friday, October 9).
Police called to concern for welfare
Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said they were called to reports of a 'concern for welfare' at a property on Bryngs Drive in Harwood, Bolton, at around 11.35am on Wednesday (October 7). Officers attended and located a man who had died.
The man has now been named in court documents as 94-year-old Allan Lord. This morning, GMP confirmed Mark Lord, who is Allan Lord's son, had been charged with one count of murder.
Remanded into custody
Mark Lord was remanded into custody and is due to appear at Manchester Magistrates' Court this afternoon.
