A man has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving over a crash that killed six people and left an 11-year-old girl orphaned.
Victims named
Shane Roller, 33, Shannen Morgan, 30, and their daughters Rubie Morgan-Roller, nine, and Lillie Morgan-Roller, four, died instantly after the family's Ford Focus collided with a motorbike on the A61 near Wakefield and Barnsley in 2024.
Husband and wife Christopher and Janine Barton, from Barnsley, who were travelling on the motorcycle, also died in the crash. Shane and Shannen's other daughter, who was 11 at the time, was not travelling with them.
Court appearance
Christopher Cockell, 50, is due to appear at Leeds Magistrates' Court on 28 October charged with six counts of causing death by dangerous driving.
