Saeed Salashoor, aged 39 and of no fixed address, has been charged with attempting to cause or incite a girl aged under 15 to engage in sexual activity, as well as possession of a Class B drug. The charges follow an incident on Thursday, June 25, when Merseyside Police received a report that a man had allegedly followed a 15-year-old girl along Smithdown Lane at around 3.30pm.

Girl recorded the man on her phone

According to police, the man made conversation with the girl as she continued walking away. It was then reported that he continued shouting at her until she began recording him on her phone, which caused him to walk in a different direction. He was later arrested, and during a search, a snap bag of cannabis was found.

Suspect recalled to prison

Salashoor has been recalled to prison and is scheduled to appear at Wirral Adult Remand Court on Monday, June 29. Merseyside Police have not released further details about the incident, but the case highlights the importance of public vigilance and the use of technology to deter potential offenders.
