A man has admitted criminal damage after a tractor was driven into a North East home. Nathan Blagg, 28, appeared at Teesside Crown Court last week, where he pleaded guilty to aggravated vehicle taking and criminal damage to property being reckless as to whether life was endangered.
Incident details
Shortly after 1am on Saturday, May 9, a red tractor and baler ploughed into a property on Priory Road, Whinney Banks, Middlesbrough. No one was inside the property at the time, and neighbours were evacuated as a precaution. The tractor was removed at around 6pm on Tuesday, May 12.
Court proceedings
Blagg, of Addington Drive, Middlesbrough, also pleaded guilty before magistrates to affray and another count of aggravated vehicle taking. He will be sentenced for his part in the incident and a number of other offences on September 24.
Judge Clews said: "It seems to me that the sentence you will ultimately receive will be a custodial sentence and of some length. Nevertheless a pre-sentence report may be of some assistance." Blagg has been remanded in custody until his next appearance.
