An inquest has opened into the death of reality TV star Jake Hall, who was found dead in Mallorca last month at the age of 35. The Only Way Is Essex cast member died after a collision with a glass door at a holiday villa on May 6, East London Coroner's Court was told on Tuesday.
Post-Mortem Inconclusive
The inquest heard that Jake's body was repatriated to the UK, but a post-mortem examination at East Ham Mortuary was unable to determine the exact cause of death. Area coroner Nadia Persaud requested that Spanish authorities provide copies of the toxicology report, police reports, and witness statements. She also designated Jake's family members as “interested persons,” allowing them to interrogate evidence or witnesses in a future inquest.
Jake Hall's Career and Legacy
Jake Hall was best known for his almost decade-long stint on TOWIE, joining in 2015 and leaving in 2024. He also founded a menswear brand called By Jake Hall. His funeral took place last week.
Tributes from Loved Ones
Jake leaves behind his eight-year-old daughter, River, whom he shared with Real Housewives of Cheshire star Misse Beqiri. Misse posted a lengthy tribute on social media, saying her heart was “shattered” by his death and that she loved him from “the very first moment I saw you.” Tributes also poured in from ex-girlfriend and former TOWIE co-star Chloe Lewis, who called him a “massive and special part of my life.” Celebrity DJ Fat Tony paid tribute at Jake's funeral, noting an “incredible turn out of love.”
A provisional inquest date has been set for December 7, 2026.
