Police have launched an investigation after reports that a nine-year-old girl was sexually touched at Butlin's in Skegness.
The incident occurred shortly before 10am on Monday this week, when the girl was approached outside her family's accommodation on Pelican Court. Lincolnshire Police responded to a report that a man touched the child over her clothing and put his hand on her face.
Description of suspect
The man is described as white, between 30 and 40 years old, with dark hair, and wearing a green T-shirt. An investigation is underway.
Lincolnshire Police has appealed for anyone who witnessed the incident or was in the area at the time to come forward.
Police statement
A force spokesperson said: "Incident 104 of Monday 3 August refers to a report that just before 10am a 9-year-old girl was approached by an unknown man at Butlins in Skegness. The man is reported to have touched the child over her clothing and put his hand on her face; we are investigating an offence of sexual touching."
The spokesperson added: "The incident is reported to have happened outside of the family's accommodation which was at Pelican court. The man is described as white, aged 30-40 years old, with dark hair and wearing a green t shirt."

Butlin's response
A Butlin's spokesperson said the company was "deeply concerned" and had provided support to the family: "As soon as we were made aware we supported the family and have been in direct contact since. We're working with Lincolnshire Police and will further support however we can."
