Four women have denied attacking a woman at a house in Ashington, Northumberland. Kirsty Hunter, Beverley Todd, Chelsea Coulson, and Rhiannon Coates will stand trial in 2028 accused of assaulting the alleged victim inside an address in the town.

The group is suspected of kicking and punching the woman, leaving her needing hospital treatment for a swollen face and multiple grazes on July 22 last year.
Hunter, 31, of Ridgeway, Ashington; Coulson, 30, of April Street, Ashington; Coates, 21, of Seacrest Road, Newbiggin-by-the-Sea; and Todd, 45, of Weardale Avenue, Blyth, all pleaded not guilty to a charge of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
Bail and Court Proceedings
They were each granted bail with a condition of maintaining addresses, which they had given during an earlier hearing, as correspondence addresses. They were told they don't have to live there but they have to check their post regularly there.
Judge Tom Moran told them: "You have all pleaded not guilty and there will need to be a trial. That will be on the 27th of March 2028."
He told the quartet there will be further pre-trial hearings in October this year and February 2028 and told them to stay in touch with their solicitors, who will prepare defence statements setting out their defences.
