A former South Wales Police officer is due in court this week accused of raping and strangling a woman while on duty. Ex-constable Rikki Hall, 33, was based in Swansea and resigned during an investigation into the incident.
Charges and Investigation
Hall has been charged with two counts of rape and one count of non-fatal strangulation following an investigation by the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC). He also faces a charge of possession of a firearm and two counts of misconduct in public office.
The allegations relate to an incident in Swansea in February 2024, when Hall was serving as a police officer. He will appear at Bristol Magistrates’ Court on August 27.
IOPC Statement
A spokesperson for the IOPC said: "Our investigation began in February 2024 following a mandatory conduct referral from South Wales Police."
"A substantial file of material was submitted to the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) in February 2025 and following further lines of enquiry being undertaken, charges were authorised by the CPS."
