Newly released documents and photographs have shed light on Jeffrey Epstein's sprawling Zorro Ranch in New Mexico, where he allegedly abused teenage girls and young women. The nearly 10,000-acre property, located outside Santa Fe, included a 26,700 sq ft mansion, a private runway, and a hangar.
Despite extensive searches of Epstein's other properties, state and local officials say they are not aware of any federal search of the ranch. Emails released by the Justice Department indicate that Manhattan federal prosecutors asked New Mexico's attorney general to halt any state investigation into Epstein's activities in the state in 2019.
Multiple women have testified about abuse at the ranch. One accuser, identified as Jane, said she was sexually abused by Epstein starting at age 14 and was taken to the ranch when she was 15 or 16. Another accuser, Annie Farmer, testified that Ghislaine Maxwell gave her a nude massage at the ranch when she was 16, and Epstein later climbed into bed with her.
The documents also reveal that the ranch was a location where powerful men allegedly visited, and it was the proposed setting for Epstein's reported plans to impregnate women to spread his DNA.
