A13 Crash: Two Teens Dead, Third in Critical Condition

Two teenagers have died and a third is in hospital with life-threatening injuries following a crash on the A13 in east London last night. Scotland Yard said emergency services responded to reports of a multi-vehicle collision on the eastbound carriageway in Newham at 8.15pm on Thursday.

Victims and Arrests

Two men aged 18 and 19 were pronounced dead at the scene. A 16-year-old boy remains in hospital with life-threatening injuries. Police have arrested three men aged 18, 19 and 23 on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and failing to stop. They remain in custody.

Police Appeal for Witnesses

Detective Chief Inspector James Beck, from the Met’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “Our thoughts remain with the victims’ loved ones following this tragic incident. As we work to build a picture of the circumstances, we are keen to hear from any witnesses to the collision – particularly those with dashcam footage.”

Beck added: “We are aware of videos circulating on social media which appear to show the aftermath of the collision. We remind people to be respectful of the impact of this footage and encourage people not to share and instead contact police directly if they have information.”
