A teenager has been rushed to hospital after a suspected stabbing during an alleged brawl in Irvine, with two boys charged in connection with the incident. Emergency crews scrambled to the town's High Street at around 8.40pm on Friday after being alerted to a group of youths causing a disturbance.
Victim Found Seriously Assaulted
A 17-year-old male was found to have been seriously assaulted and was taken to hospital for treatment. Reports online suggest the teenager was stabbed, though his condition remains unknown. Police Scotland confirmed that two boys, aged 15 and 16, were arrested and charged and will be reported to the relevant authorities.
Large Emergency Response
Footage from the scene shows police tape sealing off a large area on the street, with three ambulances and multiple police vehicles and officers present. A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 8.40pm on Friday, 26 June, 2026, we received a report of a group of youths causing a disturbance on the High Street in Irvine. A 17-year-old male youth was seriously assaulted and was taken to hospital for treatment. Two males, aged 15 and 16, have been arrested and charged in connection and will be reported to the relevant authorities.
