A second child has died following a multi-vehicle crash on the A30 in Cornwall, police have confirmed. The incident, which occurred on Wednesday evening near Redruth, involved a car colliding with the back of a tractor on a slip road.

A 31-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene, while a one-year-old child was taken to hospital with minor injuries. The child was initially kept overnight at Treliske Hospital as a precaution, but has since died.

Devon and Cornwall Police are investigating the circumstances of the crash. No further details about the victims have been released at this time.
