An email sent to parents from the nursery manager previously said: "It is with great sadness that I have to inform you that as of today, the owner of the nursery has decided to close the business. We as a staff team are devastated and have no words following this decision."

It is believed parents were sent an email about a collapsed drain and "vermin" at the nursery, reports Manchester Evening News.
