Police Appeal After Airdrie Crash Leaves Man Hospitalised

Road policing officers are appealing for information following a serious crash in Airdrie that left a 63-year-old man in hospital. The incident occurred on Whinhall Road, with police receiving a report at around 7.10am on Monday, July 6.

Details of the Collision

The single-vehicle collision involved a Toyota Urban Cruiser, which was travelling towards the Coatbridge area when it lost control, left the road, and struck a fence. Police believe the crash happened between 1.15am and 6am on the same day.

Emergency services attended the scene, and the male driver was taken to hospital for treatment. His condition has not been disclosed, but enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.

Sergeant Elaine Scott said: "I am appealing for anyone with information to contact us. I would ask any road users, particularly those with a dash-cam, who were driving on Whinhall Road and the surrounding area on Monday morning to contact us with any information. It’s vital we establish the full circumstances of what has happened."
