Rowan Booth, a 21-year-old paddleboarder from Prestatyn, has been named as the victim of a lake tragedy in north Wales. His body was recovered from Llyn Geirionydd, near Trefriw, on Tuesday night after a major search operation involving North Wales Police, mountain rescue, and underwater search teams.
Booth, who worked at DW Property Maintenance, had been paddleboarding on the lake when the incident occurred. A GoFundMe page set up by Shay Green has raised over £800 to support his funeral costs.
Family Tribute
His sister, Madelaine Booth, paid a heartfelt tribute, saying: 'If you knew him, you'll know he was the kind of person who would do absolutely anything for anyone. No matter what he had going on himself, if someone needed help, he was there. He had the biggest heart, and he touched so many lives without ever asking for anything in return.'
Shay Green, who launched the fundraising page, described Rowan as a 'crazy lad that would happily do anything for anyone for nothing, without hesitation. You were clearly too good for this world and will be dearly missed. This is just to try and support the family with funeral funds to give our Rowan the best possible send off like he deserves.'

Rowan is survived by his sisters Madelaine and Lydia, and brothers Cameron, Jack, Oliver, and Henry.
