A police cordon has been established in the Leicestershire village of Newbold Verdon following reports of a shooting late Tuesday evening. The incident occurred on Brascote Lane, where locals reported hearing three gunshots at approximately 10.29pm.

According to a local resident who wished to remain anonymous, two shots were fired into a car and another through the front door of a house.
