Murder arrest after man stabbed in Ramsgate

A 21-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a 52-year-old man died from stab wounds in Ramsgate, Kent.

Kent Police said officers were called to reports of a man with a knife near the harbour area at around 4.47am on Sunday.

Two men found with stab wounds

Officers attended and found two men, one in Harbour Street and the other in Harbour Parade, with injuries consistent with stab wounds, the force said.

Both men were taken to a local hospital. The 52-year-old man found in Harbour Street was later pronounced dead. His next of kin has been informed. The second victim, a 48-year-old man, has since been discharged from hospital.

Arrest and ongoing enquiries

A 21-year-old man was arrested shortly after the incident and remains in custody. Officers said they are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident. Enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing, with additional patrols in the area.
