The mother of a missing kayaker last seen near a Welsh beach a week ago has issued a heartfelt plea for information to help find her son.
Connor Parfitt and Simon Wilson disappeared last Tuesday evening close to a Haven holiday park at Hafan-y-Mor, Pwllheli, on the Llŷn Peninsula.
On Monday, police confirmed that the body of Connor Parfitt was tragically discovered on a beach in Aberystwyth at around 12.30pm on Sunday. However, Simon Wilson remains missing.
Mother's Social Media Appeal
His mother, Sarah Wilson, took to social media today, urging people to help locate her son. She said: "Please keep a look out for our son Simon Wilson, today is a week since he went missing in the sea with his inflatable kayak."
"Searches have been suspended until he or any belongings have been found, could be along the Welsh coast or even as far as Ireland we have been told, his life jacket could be under his jumper."
"Simon's friend Connor was found on Sunday. My family send our deepest condolences to Connor's mum and family at this difficult time."
She added: "Please share this as we need closure and Simon home. Please if anybody see's any items that would have been taken out with him."
Missing Items and Latest Developments
She said his cap was discovered yesterday near Milford Haven in south-west Wales. When he went missing, Simon also had grey Crocs, an orange bag, sunglasses, prescription glasses, and a speaker on his person.
