Police searching for a missing Wolverhampton mother and her three children suspect she may now be 117 miles from where she was last sighted. West Midlands Police said they believe 31-year-old Alimat may have travelled to London.
Last seen in Birmingham
The mother and her three children were last seen on Saturday in the Digbeth district of Birmingham. They were captured on CCTV footage walking with at least two suitcases. She was also wheeling a pram which, besides carrying her youngest child, seemed to be packed with clothes and coats.
The Wolverhampton mother and her children have not been sighted since.
Police appeal
West Midlands Police appealed via social media, initially posting: "Have you seen Alimat? The 31-year-old from Wolverhampton is missing along with her three children."
"They have been missing since 8 August and were last seen in the area of Digbeth in Birmingham. If you see Alimat please call 999 quoting RID 1160387."
Possible travel to London
In an update on Tuesday (August 11), West Midlands Police said they suspect the group may have journeyed 117 miles away, from Birmingham New Street station to London Euston.
A spokesperson said: "We are continuing to ask for your help to locate Alimat who is missing from Wolverhampton. The 31-year-old, and her three children, were last seen in the city on Saturday before being spotted in Birmingham city centre the following day. It is understood she may have travelled from New Street station to London Euston. If you can help, please call 999 quoting PID 461858."
