The Mancunian Way has been closed by police following a serious incident, with a large emergency response visible at the scene.
The major road was shut in the early hours of Sunday morning, according to witnesses. Pictures showed a large number of police officers across both sections of the carriageway.
Road Closed in Both Directions
One witness reported that at 2am both sections of the major road had been shut. By 6am, travel services showed the road closed between the Cambridge Street junction and Fairfield Street.
