A man with distinctive facial scars has died after being found unresponsive in Glasgow, as police continue efforts to identify him.
Incident Details
Emergency services were called to Nelson Street in the Tradeston area of the city at around 6pm on Friday, May 8. The man was discovered unresponsive and was rushed to Glasgow Royal Infirmary under blue lights, but sadly died in the early hours of Saturday, May 9.
Police have been working to establish the man's identity to inform his next of kin, but so far these efforts have been unsuccessful.
Description of the Deceased
The man is described as white, aged between 40 and 50, approximately 5ft 7in tall, and weighing around 60kg. He had short brown/grey hair and a red/grey beard.
He had multiple facial scars, including:
- A 5cm scar from his right eye to his forehead
- A 3.5cm scar at his left eyebrow
- A 3cm scar on the bridge of his nose
Clothing and Possessions
When found, he was wearing a green Adidas tracksuit top with white stripes down both arms, dark trousers, and dark trainers. He also had a grey camouflage-coloured sleeping bag waterproof cover in his possession.
Police Appeal
Detective Constable Alasdair Hood said: “This is a tragic situation and despite a substantial effort by officers, we unfortunately still don’t have an identity.
“We are doing all we can to establish who this man is in order to inform his next of kin. We know this may be someone’s loved one who could be missing their dad, son or brother.
“If anyone has information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, please get in touch with us.”
