A man has been stabbed to death in an underground Tesco car park, prompting a murder investigation by Thames Valley Police. Officers were called to the supermarket at 12:32pm following reports of a stabbing.
The victim was found with critical injuries and rushed to hospital, but he could not be saved. His next of kin have yet to be informed, and no arrests have been made.
Detective Superintendent Ian Hunter, head of the force’s Major Crime Unit, described the incident as “shocking” and urged the public not to speculate on the victim’s identity until formal identification.
The underground car park remains closed while forensic examinations are carried out. Police have asked people to avoid the area and to speak to officers if they have any concerns.
