Man in Critical Condition After Savage Assault in Stockbridge Village Chip Shop

A man in his 50s is fighting for his life after being brutally attacked inside a fish and chip shop in Stockbridge Village. The victim sustained severe head injuries and was rushed to hospital following the assault at the takeaway.

Details of the Shocking Incident

The assault occurred on Friday, 17 April, at approximately 7.30pm inside The Village Chippy, located off Leach Croft. The man remains in a critical condition in hospital, with his life hanging in the balance.

Merseyside Police were notified by the North West Ambulance Service the following day after the victim was taken to hospital. Detectives have launched a full investigation into the savage attack.

Police Appeal for Urgent Witness Information

Detective Inspector Steven O'Neill stated: "This was a shocking assault that has left a man in hospital in a critical condition. An investigation is ongoing to find the person responsible and we are appealing for anyone with information to come forward."

He emphasised the urgency of the situation, noting that there were people inside the chip shop at the time of the incident. "We are directly appealing to them to get in touch as a matter of urgency. We are determined to find the person responsible and an investigation is ongoing. Please come forward if you can assist our enquiries," he added.

The police are urging the individual responsible for this brutal attack to hand themselves in. Anyone who witnessed the incident is being asked to contact authorities immediately to aid the ongoing investigation.
