Man Critical After Stockbridge Village Chip Shop Attack

A man in his 50s is fighting for his life after a brutal assault inside a fish and chip shop in Stockbridge Village. The attack occurred at The Village Chippy, off Leach Croft, at approximately 7.30pm on Friday 17 April.

The victim sustained serious head injuries and was rushed to hospital, where he remains in a critical condition. Merseyside Police were alerted the following day by the North West Ambulance Service.

Detectives are urging the attacker to hand himself in and are appealing for witnesses to come forward as a matter of urgency. Detective Inspector Steven O'Neill described the assault as shocking and confirmed an investigation is ongoing.
