A 34-year-old man has tragically died after being discovered by police inside a public toilet in mid Wales. Officers from Dyfed-Powys Police responded to a welfare concern call regarding a man at public toilets on Short Bridge Street in Newtown on Wednesday, June 3.

Paramedics were also dispatched to the scene and provided immediate medical assistance. The man was subsequently transported to a nearby hospital, where he sadly passed away. A spokesperson for Dyfed-Powys Police stated: “Dyfed-Powys Police received a call regarding welfare concerns for a male in Short Bridge Street, Newtown, at around 7.30pm on Wednesday, June 3. Officers attended and a 34-year-old male was taken to hospital where, sadly, he passed away. Next of kin have been informed.”
