A man has been arrested after a pedestrian was struck by a car in Golders Green, north-west London, leaving the victim in a critical condition. The incident occurred on Golders Green Road shortly after 8.20pm on Wednesday evening, prompting an immediate response from emergency services.
Victim and Arrest Details
The pedestrian, a 41-year-old Iranian national, sustained life-threatening injuries and remains in hospital in a critical condition. A 39-year-old Iraqi national was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm, serious injury by dangerous driving, and failing to provide a drug sample. He is currently in police custody.

The Metropolitan Police have confirmed that the incident is not being treated as terrorism-related. The Serious Collision Investigation Unit is leading the inquiry.
