Man Arrested After Golders Green Car Hits Pedestrian

A 41-year-old Iranian man is in hospital with life-threatening injuries after a car struck him in Golders Green, north-west London. The incident occurred on Golders Green Road shortly after 8.20pm on Wednesday, following an apparent street row.

Video footage shared on social media shows the man holding a phone towards the driver moments before the collision. A 39-year-old Iraqi national was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm, serious injury by dangerous driving, and failing to provide a drug sample.

The Metropolitan Police confirmed the incident is not being treated as terrorism. It is under investigation by the Serious Collision Investigation Unit. Detective Chief Superintendent Luke Williams urged the public not to share graphic footage online to protect the integrity of the investigation.
