Man airlifted to hospital after Haverfordwest pub assault

A man in his 60s was airlifted to hospital after an assault outside a pub in Haverfordwest on Friday afternoon. He remains in a serious but stable condition, according to Dyfed-Powys Police.

Emergency services were called to reports of an assault outside The William Owen pub on Quay Street at around 4.50pm. The force is continuing to investigate the serious incident.

Three arrests made

Three individuals have been arrested on suspicion of inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent. They are two men, aged 37 and 41, and one woman, aged 37, who all remain in police custody for questioning.

Dyfed-Powys Police said high-visibility patrols will be carried out in the area to provide reassurance to the community following the incident.

Dispersal order in place

A section 34 dispersal order is currently in place for Haverfordwest town centre. This means that anyone suspected of engaging in antisocial or antagonising behaviour in the town can be ordered to leave the area. Officers are reminding the public that anyone who does not comply with a direction to leave the area could be liable for arrest.

"We’d like to thank the public for their patience while our officers worked alongside other emergency services to deal with the incident," a spokesperson for Dyfed-Powys Police added.
