Cheshire Police has urged the victim of a daylight robbery in Macclesfield to come forward after a man and a woman were arrested in connection with the incident.
The force received reports of a robbery on Byron Street in Macclesfield at around midday on Monday, August 17, from a witness.
CCTV shows assault and theft
CCTV footage showed a male victim carrying a green suitcase in the vicinity when he was 'assaulted' by a male suspect, who then allegedly stole the suitcase.
The suspect was then said to have fled the scene in a white VW Tiguan, which pulled up at the roadside and headed in the direction of Cross Street.
Arrests made in Wythenshawe
The car was later located in Wythenshawe, where a 37-year-old man and a 41-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of robbery. They remain in police custody.
The victim is described as a white man with multiple tattoos, wearing dark grey or navy shorts, t-shirt, and shoes.
Police appeal for victim to come forward
Detective Sergeant Tiffany Berry-Perkin said: “We have not yet had contact from the victim of this incident, and we would like to speak to them to ensure they are OK and check on their welfare.
“We would urge them, and anyone who may have any other information about what happened, to please get in touch with us.
“A number of arrests have been made and we would like to make contact with the victim as our enquiries into the incident continue.
