Frank Wong had tied his ten-month-old black Cavoodle puppy, Dora, outside the Vogue Shopping Plaza in South Yarra, approximately five kilometres southeast of Melbourne's central business district. This occurred at around 3:25 PM on Monday while he briefly entered the centre to purchase groceries. According to reports, three unknown women untied Dora and allegedly took her during this short period.
The trio were described as Caucasian individuals, aged between their twenties and thirties, with medium brown hair. They were last observed walking along Chapel Street in the direction of Richmond. The alleged abduction prompted an immediate response from Victoria Police, who launched an investigation to locate the missing puppy.
Police Investigation and Arrests
On Wednesday morning, officers successfully located Dora at a property on Barnett Grove in Noble Park, situated south-east of Melbourne. The adorable puppy was found unharmed, leading to a swift arrest. A nineteen-year-old woman from Noble Park was taken into custody at the scene for questioning regarding the alleged theft.
Later that day, a twenty-seven-year-old woman from Richmond voluntarily presented herself at a police station. Both individuals are now assisting police with their inquiries into the incident. A spokesperson for Victoria Police confirmed that Dora was uninjured and has been returned to her family, marking a positive outcome to the case.

In a heartfelt plea during the investigation, Mr Wong offered a reward for Dora's safe return, stating, "[Dora] means so much to her. We are happy to provide a reward, all we want is to have Dora back home with our family. If you want to take her to a vet or a shelter, just hand her over, that would be fine with us as well. Nothing matters more to us than being reunited with Dora."
