A daughter has described the past three months as a 'living hell' after her mother vanished from a campsite in western France and has not been seen since January 29.
Disappearance at French Campsite
Pensioner Stephanie Thomson, 75, was last seen at the Camping les Vigeres site in Le Chalard, located in France's Nouvelle-Aquitaine region. She had been living her dream retirement in the French countryside with her husband Ken since they moved there in 2012.
However, that dream turned into a nightmare when Stephanie disappeared following a trip to a local supermarket. Her daughter Tracy, 55, from Redcar, Teesside, described the wait for answers as agonising.
Family's Anguish
Tracy has spoken publicly about the ordeal, calling the last three months without her mother 'a living hell.' She added that she never imagined the family would be in such a situation.
'Not knowing where she is is one of the hardest things to try and get my head around,' she said. 'I hope she is safe, but every single scenario is running through my mind. It's torturous. Your mind never switches off.'
The family continues to appeal for any information that might lead to Stephanie's whereabouts, urging anyone with knowledge to come forward.
